Insurance Law

Trust/Fideicomiso
As an investor, it is vital to consider how your payment or deposit will be held during the completion of mutual obligations in any contract. Escrow services provide a neutral third party which holds the funds in compliance with the instructions of all the parties to an agreement. Neither party may access the funds until all of the obligations of the parties are satisfied.
Mexican lawyers, Notaries can legally hold funds “In Trust.” Mexico does have the Escrow Services which are available (Fideicomiso), funds are customarily held with Notary or lawyer’s bank account.
To secure your deposit or payment, you should use an Escrow Service (Fideicomiso) which is insured. Bechman Gomez y Asociados is a trustworthy law firm authorized to provide Escrow Services in Mexico.

Foreigners who have property or live in Mexico should take advantage of this limited time offer during September and October. As a property owner in Mexico, if you die without a Will, the Mexican government will be responsible for liquidating your estate and distributing your assets, and since there are no survivor rights in Mexico, your spouse may not be the only benefactor to your estate.
